I checked here and on the hotel board but didn't see anything posted. We stayed at Portofino Bay last weekend (June 16-17) and they were making us get pictures taken to print out paper Express Passes. There was an employee at the kiosks helping people. It didn't take long.

My DD's glasses reflected terribly, but no one cared. My son had his big stuffed animal on his shoulder, no one cared. No one ever checked our pictures all weekend. But they were there.

We did have a couple of rides where the employees seemed confused to see these Exoress Passes, but other employees assured them that they were okay. So they must be new still.

Any questions, just ask!

They've been trying to get this going. It will be interesting to see how long it takes to gets the bugs out.

I wonder if the other 2 hotels are doing it? I wonder if the TM's have any clue and if you can still use your room key. We are going next weekend for 9 days and was hoping this wouldn't be in effect yet.

So did you have your paper express pass with picture and your room key to show for express lines? Do you just get a new express pass if your original gets wet on rides- or does it not get ruined by getting wet?

Thanks!

i heard it was a hard ticket like the hotel key.

unless they have changed the system now that they are using it.

guess i will read about it here or when i get there.

Can someone post a picture of their pass so we can see what they look like? Just interested in what it looks like..

We just stayed one night at Royal Pacific on 6/22 and were not required to have any photos taken for the express pass. They just gave us each the regular plastic room key card with our names on our individual cards that worked for our room key, express pass, etc.

It was a separate piece of paper (papery - not hard, like the room key). We didn't need our room keys at all except (obviously) to get in and out of the room and to get into early entry for WWoHP. The Express Pass was all we needed to use the special lines. This is the one for my son.

Note his Expedition Everest 'yeti ball' on his shoulder. If you look on the right you can see his sister holding her suitcase. Way in the background (faint) you can see the employee who was helping us at the kiosks (may not come through in the scan). Clearly they're not very picky about how you take these pictures.

These were printed on paper similar to the park tickets, perhaps a little thinner.

Thanks for the picture.:thumbsup2

We checked into the Portafino on Thursday, the 21st. We did not have our picture taken, just had the regular room key for express pass.

So now we each have our annual pass, room key and the express pass to carry, and I have an annual photo card as well. Which is fine except more to track and more to remember when it comes to wet rides!
