Universal Hollywood- website not allowing me to book a hotel or get tickets

I am trying to book a Universal stay on March 18-20 2022 and the website won't let me and says this when I try- Universal Studios Hollywood theme park is temporarily closed. Vacation packages and theme park tickets are not available for sale at this time. Any tickets purchased for a date when we are closed will automatically be changed to one valid until December 16, 2021. Guests with a vacation package for a date when we are closed will be contacted directly to change their reservation.

Is this a strange glitch?

Just FYI, you don't get any kind of deal by doing this. Book the hotel and buy tickets separately. You can probably get a good deal on one of the 2 hotels adjacent to the park by using their own sites (Sheraton and Hilton, respectively). The Hilton is closer.

Yes I used that link and I keep getting the same error message. I’ve even tried using other browsers or going in Incognito mode in Chrome. Where do I go to just book just a Universal hotel instead of a package?

There are no "Universal Hotels", like in Orlando. There is a Sheraton and a Hilton. They are in "Universal City." If you go to either Sheraton (now Marriott) or Hilton.com, you can search for the hotels.
