The Orlando site no longer offers movie lot tours, as it did many years ago? Why not?

Does the Hollywood site offer movie lot tours still?

How are the Hollywood site movie lot tours compare with other studio tours in Hollywood?

The Orlando tour really never was much of anything. The Hollywood tour is a ride itself, with many special effects.

I went to Universal Hollywood back in the early 90's and was fairly impressed with the backlot tour. You got to go across the rickety bridge, the burning house facade, Battlestar Gallactica (I don't remember much about that), the flash flood, Psycho house and other famous TV houses down the one street, going through the mountain avalanche and where the water was parted. I was a little surprised when I first came to UO and discovered that each attraction was it's own ride. But it was just as enjoyable as the day we spent in Hollywood.

There was a bit of a tour and it changed over the years at the Orlando park, but while Orlando overall was intended to be more of a "hollywood east" it never really took off, therefore there wasn't much movie-making to have a tour of.

Other studio tours are just that, tours. The Universal tour is actually an attraction with ride elements.

Have you done the other studio tours? Would you say that you enjoyed the tours (but perhaps not as much as the Universal Hollywood backlot studio tour - because of the ride elements)?

I went to Universal Studios and I loved the tour... It's awesome, you see all kinds of movie sets and go into these little sound studios to see Earthquake and King King... and you also see part of War of the World... and lots, lots more... it's a lot of fun.
