We're leaving our Anaheim hotel on September 20th and heading to a Universal Studios hotel for the night before flying home late on the 21st. I saw the buy a day get a day free offer that Universal has now and figured it would be perfect, because we most likely won't get there for Park open on the 20th, and may need to leave early to get to the airport on the 21st. However I've noticed that there's no express pass option for these tickets. We can still buy the express pass once we get to the park right? How likely will it be to sell out on a Saturday of (presumably) a Halloween Horror Night?

We’ve bought these tickets for upcoming trip and I’ve added EP to the first day at the time of purchase. I thought one day with EP and the other without would be fine, but if you decided you needed for both days, I am fairly sure you could add it when you get there if it is available. They are limited to how many they sell per day though.

Who did you buy through? Direct with Universal?

I would reccomend- if it's still a thing- the early entry to Mario. Especially since you say you have a shortened day.

Yes, you can by the Express Pass in the park.
It's unlikely to sell out in late September - the park won't be crowded at all. I predict 25 to 30 minutes as the longest waits.

There's a chance I will be visiting UniHollywood mid-week, the last week of August. I'm thinking it won't be crowded then either, right?
