I am looking to take my family to Universal in 2007 - possibly March is weather is okay and the lines are not long at this time of the year. I have been to Disney and know all about that end of the park but Universal now that my kids want to ride the bigger faster rides is where I will need some help. Resorts within the park, is there shuttles like at the Disney Resorts, anything would be helpful. Thanks alot to anyone.

First of all, welcome to the DIS! :thumbsup2

You may get a better response from the Universal Studios / Islands of Adventure subforum available here:

I see this is your first post, welcome!

I can answer some of your questions. It has been about 2 years since we have stayed on site there, but I think it is still about the same.

There are 3 resorts on property. I have stayed at all of them and they are wonderful resorts. Definately on par with WDW deluxe resorts. But the really great thing about these resorts is that you can walk easily from 1 of them (Hard Rock) to the parks and you can walk from the other 2 (not a bad walk, Royal Pacific and Portifino Bay) and there is a boat service that runs frequently to all 3.

I am not sure if they still have the front of the line perk, someone else can help you there. Since Disney is kinder with their APs (for DVC people) I have been going to WDW exclusivly, but before we loved to spend a few days at Universal and IOA. Gee, I miss those coasters.....
