Has anyone purchased a Universal gift card at Kroger lately? I tried last night, but every card they tried was invalid. The CS person said they had been having trouble for some time and didn't realize the card were still on the display.

I wanted to see if this was the case at all stores or just one or two?

i have no answer for your question but you can buy universal gift cards online.

they are valid for the hotels, parks and city walk.

Can you buy them online through Kroger to get the fuel rewards?

I read on another planning site (don't even remember which one) something about a mini marauder's map with a $50 (I think) GC purchase. It's completely possible that I misunderstood it. It was just a small blurb and I didn't want to join the site just to get more information. Does anyone know if this is the case?

eta that this had nothing to do with Kroger GC's. My assumption was that it was through Universal.

i have no idea.
i don't even know what a Kroger is.....

Kroger is a grocery store that is currently offering 4x fuel rewards for gift card purchases. Some areas vary, but here I can redeem rewards for up to $1.00 per gallon for 35 gallons at Kroger or Shell gas stations.

no Shells or Krogers in my area.........

learn a new place everyday.........:)

Be careful when you buy the gift cards. I was at my local Kroger a few weeks back and saw a Universal gift card for park admission. It was a great price until I noticed that it was for Florida Residents only. I guess they sent the wrong cards to Georgia.

some specials for floridians do include those in georgia.
not all, but some.

maybe those gc you saw would be valid.

Plenty of Kroger stores here in the Houston area...unfortunately...no Universal Studios gift cards. :confused3
I've been buying 3-4 cards per month on universal's web site...usually ships out the same day. Not quite the "impulse buy", but helps me save for Orlando trips! :thumbsup2

It is a gift card holder that looks like a marauder's map... really cool :yay:

I had a VERY bad experience trying to buy Universal tickets a couple of years ago at Kroger here in SE GA. It was the $99 for a week giftcard that had spiderman on it - I found 4 that were left in the store and tried to buy them but something was damaged with the card. It was back and forth with them putting money back on my cc and then trying to charge the total again. After the dust finally cleared, was not able to get the Universal cards and the manager ended up putting ME in the hole about $30 for not crediting my card correctly. And the really STUPID thing was that I saw those same exact cards put back OUT in the store like a week later for someone to purchase, knowing that they didn't work. Wonder how many times they added some extra $$ to their stores with that move. I no longer buy any type of giftcard from Kroger. Buyer beware!

Thank you! My dd's birthday gift is a (very quick) trip to IOA for her and her BFF. Maybe I'll order a couple $50 GC's and they can have the holders.
