Universal gift card uses

Does anyone know if there are limitations to uses of the universal gift cards? Can they be used to buy tickets on the internet? to upgrade tickets at the park? Thanks for any information!

They can be used at the park for ticket purchases and ticket upgrades. They cannot be used at the stores or restaurants. If you want to buy something at the stores, you first need to go to Guest Services and they will redeem the gift card for Universal bucks which can then be used for other purchases.

What?! You mean the gift cards that you can purchase at places like Giant Eagle? I can't use them for a counter service meal or a snack? Is it easy to get them switched over to Universal dollars?

So, if I have Universal gift cards, and I buy my park tickets online, I can pay at the guest services window with the gift cards for ticket upgrades? For purchases other than that, I convert them to Universal bucks?

I guess that I can't use them to purchase tickets on line, is that correct?

I don't know much about online purchases. you can try and see if there is a number to use for gift cards when you check out. As far as upgrade, yes, you can only do that at Guest services with a gift card.
