Universal Gift Card Question

We purchased a couple gifts cards for Universal and for a few reasons have decided to skip the park this year. Will they work at the Universal store in the airport? They do not work online, but hoping they will work at the shop. Hope someone knows the answer!

in this FAQ, i don't see anything listed for gc usage at the UO airport.
