I'm going to be in CA for 5 days in March, on one of the days we have tickets to a 7:00 Laker game (thursday night), we planned on spending the day in LA and exploring the touristy things like the chinese theater, rodeo dr, etc and devoting another day to universal studios, but now I'm reading that Universal is more of a half day thing. Would we be able to do Universal & the hollywood stuff in one day and the Laker game at night? or do we need to split it into two days? thanks!!

It takes us about 8 hours to get thru everything we want to do, including feeding ourselves. DGF like to go shopping so that takes even more time.

I would take a full day to explore it. We went the first weekend of Jan. and there wasn't more than a 10 minute wait for anything. It took us the full amount of time the park was open to see and do everything and it was just the two of us (41 yr old male & 30 yr old me). Also if you get a chance take a drive up to the Griffith Observatory there are some amazing views up there. Have a great time!

We went to Universal last summer and only needed one day there...my kids were a little disappointed in the park. There's only a few really good rides and they were hoping for more. It was fun for a day but we wouldn't spend more than one day there.

I would plan one whole day to Universal Studios. There is a lot to do and half day wouldn't let you do all of it. There are a bunch of shows that are scheduled all day, so working rides in between would be hard if you were only there for half a day.

Do Hollywood and touristy stuff on the day of the Laker game, and spend another full day at USH.

Even though I hated Universal Studios, it needs a full day to do everything. You might like Universal, but I didnt.

we are heading to Universal on Monday March 9, 2009 are Mondays generally quiet at Universal? there will 3 adults and 3 kids (8yr old and twin 5 yr old boys) will we be able to do most of Universal or should be think about a second day? the other question is how strict are they about height restrictions my one son is 44" and not 46" but love Dinosours.

any help would be appreciated
