Quick question regarding the front of the line passes.
We are thinking about getting them but would like to know how they work?
For those of you who have used them what does it work for??
Do you go through a seperate line on each ride?
Is it good for anything in the park?

Thanks in advance for your help.

The front of the line pass is sort of a ripoff if you ask me. We went on a Saturday in June which is a busy time for Universal, and the longest lines were 20 minutes for Mummy and Back to the Future. So honestly what's really the point of spending $40 extra bucks or whatever it is to receive this front of the line pass which actually still makes you wait on a short line. It works similar to disney's fastpass where you bypass the regular line, and have a line of your own. when we went there was a few people in the front of the line pass, so they just about walked right on but not quite, they still had to wait a couple of minutes to board.

Do you still think it would be a waist of time to get it for this Saturday as this is when we are going and it is Memorial Day Weekend???

I kind of figured that this would be a very busy weekend.

What do you think??

We're actually going this Saturday as well. You can purchase a front of the line pass after you enter the park actually. So if you see that it's busy and want to add it onto your ticket you can. It's up to you basically. Yes, it's gonna be a little bit busy on Saturday, but the lines usually go pretty fast. I'm expecting a big crowd for the Simpsons ride, that's gonna be the longest line in the park, the others probably won't be more then 25 minutes long at the most. The park basically has only a few major rides, the others are shows that you basically walk right onto. And the Studio Tour, is just about always a walk on, I would save that for the middle of the day, good chance to rest your feet after walking, cause at this park you will be walking even though a majority is down an esculator to get to the bottom of the park where the mummy and jurassic park is at, two of my favorite rides that are must see attractions along as you can take a 85 foot drop and don't mind a rollercoaster in the dark with a launch of 0-40mph in about 2.5 seconds.

Thanks again for a quick reply.
I do have one more question though.
Do you think that the front of the line pass will work at the simpsons ride?

Also is the Simson's ride kind of like the Star tours ride at DL...you knwo the kind where you sit in a seat and you are looking at a screen and the seats move according to what is happening on the screen?

Thanks again so much for your help. And maybe we will spot eachother at US this Saturday.

The simpsons should be 90%better than star tours..The Disney ride is a complete bore in my opinion..

I would compare Simpsons to back to the future the ride. In the Orlando forums of Universal they have loved the simpsons ride... they say its a hit!

As for the express passes they should work for everything..there may be a couple of exceptions...

My Advice , wait till you get to the park and see if it appears to crowded.

no prob, glad i could help. also i agree with cadillac, the ride is gonna be like back to the future, where you sit 6 or 8 to car and then the vechicle will move up and down moving towards where your going on the giant screen. it will be way better then star tours and those motion simulator rides, should be very fun!

I've never seen the need to get one in my recent visits. Perhaps more accurately, I just wasn't willing to shell out extra $$$$. On a holiday weekend, the pass would definitely mean you would avoid long lines. USH does not believe in shaded queues - another reason it could be worth it for you.
