Universal for cheap

My family and I are going to laTe next week. We are spending one day at Universal (not time for more) and we're going to choose the Studios. When I go online for tix, all I see is an option that gives me a choice of a tix for BOTH parks one day for near $100. This is TOO much to pay for one park in a day. Can I get JUST a tix for Universal and if so, how much for adult/child? Any discounts to be found anywhere?

A 1 day/2 park ticket generally runs about $70. You might have been looking at the 5 day bonus pass, which is around $100.

but what if I just wanna visit one park. $70 is still way too much for one park.
