HI
We have been to FLorida a number of times but never to Universal(IOA. Now our daughter is 8 we felt the time is right! :teeth: I am not a roller coaster person and we would like to introduce her to Universal/IOA slowly so she'll want to keep going back. :yay:

Which rides are suitable for us??? We don't like goin upside down or sudden shocks!!

To all you experts out there - please help

thanks :wave2:

Just make sure you also do IOA if you are going. I think IOA is by far the best park, but the old main park does probably have the tamer rides. For you and your younger child can't go wrong with this order and I will explain as I go.

1) ET (Great slow ride, feels like you are flying, you ride the ET bikes, very tame ride no problem here)

2) Men In Black (also a tame ride and very cute, slow ride, it does spin a little at one point, but no big deal I think you can handle it.)

3) Twister (This is a simulator of a tornado, its kind of like a really cool show, but you don't move at all just stand and watch the show.)

4) The Shrek and 5) Terminator movies are also very good and tame. I have to wrap it up here so sorry won't give as much detail as I thought I could, but in short, I don't think the old park has anything you guys couldn't do except maybe The Mummy. It is kind of a roller coaster in that it does get very fast at one point. This is in my opinion the best ride at the old park, it is very creepy and dark. I would highly recommend you guys biting the bullet and riding this, but it does get fast at the end. It starts out very slow however.

For Islands of Adventure, I would recommend everything except the 2 roller coasters Hulk and Dueling Dragons, and the Doom Drop. Everything else in the IOA park is pretty tame. Dudley Du rights falls is a log ride with a drop but pretty tame, you will get a little wet.

I highly recommend doing Spider Man (best ride on universal property) and the Jurassic Park boat ride. The JP ride does have a drop at the end and you will get a little wet, but other than that its pretty tame.

That's the great thing about Universal, there is not a lot you can't do if you are afraid of roller coasters, most rides at U are tame and themed rides, not super coasters like at Six Flags and Cedar Point. But whatever you do make sure you also spend a day at IOA, best park in the world bar none.
