We've never been to universal before, so overwhelmed with this! We'll be at IOA on Oct 6, it's a thursday. Does anyone with experience have an idea how the crowds will be? Should I pre purchase a universal express plus card? We'll be staying on Disney property. I'd like to get there at opening, but I'm unsure if rest of family will get going early enough in the morning.

don't buy the epp until after you are there.

you might find that you can get a lot done without long lines.

the epp are non refundable.
if it would rain, the parks clear out.
no need for any epp then....

i go during that time period and only find the crowds on saturday.

Also there are two types of epp. One you get on the ride all you want and one is one time per ride. Again see how the crowds are first. If you get there at opening you should be just fine..

Oh, I didn't know there were two types. We'll only be at the park 1day and I think we'll only have enough time for 1ride each so I guess the multi ride pass wouldn't be needed. Thanks for the replies, if anyone has any other hints I'd gladly appreciate them!:)

There are two. The one ride per ride and the unlimited. The unlimited is considerably more expensive.

we were there recently. If you don't mind being split up we did single rider lines at all the rides we could. It was really fast and many times we were 2 or 3 together on a ride.

Thanks, I don't think we'd like to split up, there's 6 of us and the 3younger kids are 7,7,and 9 and I don't think they'd like to ride with people they don't know, and I'd be a little nervous if we aren't together.
