Universal Express Plus Question

Friends of ours are meeting us for a few days @ Universal. They are staying offsite, and were interested in purchasing the Express Pass. Is the pass good for both parks, or do you have to purchase 1 for Universal and 1 for IOA? The website shows a pass for each park @ 37.28 each?! If that is the case, I think they would be better off to stay on site one night. Can anyone clarify this? Thanks!

Wow, what part of the year is this so I don't go? It was $15 last time we went, probably in the summer time though, I know around Halloween Horror Nights it gets that high in price, since lines get 200 minutes+

The date we put in was June 3! I was suprised at the price, also - that would be around $140 for both of them, so I'd think a room would be a better option!
