We are thinking of checking into a Universal hotel for two nights during our upcoming trip. A quick question, is the Express pass valid from the start of the day of arrival until the end of the day of departure. Even if you arrive before the proper check in time and leave after the scheduled check out???? :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

think this ids the best perk of staying onsite there have you regesterd with lowes if you have can get bottle wine free when you check in

Thanks. That's convinced me then. Definately going to leave the apartment and book in to a Universal hotel for at least one, maybe two nights. Will also register at Lowes for the free wine (lol)

The Loews card also gives you priority check-in at the hotel. Great if there's a queue at reception. Gets you used to jumping the queues!

Which hotel will you book? We stayed at RPR in April 04, but have recently stayed in PBH. Fabulous!

Julie - how did you compare RPH and PBH? I'm asking because we will be staying onsite Universal for 4 nights in August and my original choice was RPH since we've done HRH for our last three trips. However, with the offer Universal have had the moment - stay 4 nights get two length of stay passes free - the RPH is NOT included, but HRH and PBH are and the PBH is coming in pricewise only $10 more than RPH :cool1:

Mumof2, like has been said, the Universal hotels perks are way superior to Disney. We have always checked in around 8.30 - 9.00 am. If our room has not been ready, you get your "room" key card, they look after all your luggage (and have a front office safe for passports, money etc). You just walk over to the parks and enjoy your first day. When you get back, you call housekeeping from the lobby phone and they give you your room number, your room key card is already programmed by then so up you go.

On your last day, your card is valid for the whole of the day, until when the parks close.

This also is relevant if you use the hotel's car park - you can come and go. One year we had a problem, but just explained we had been staying to the car park security guy and he let us in - and we didn't have to pay for parking, either.

Enjoy, it's a great experience.

Juliebro we'll probably book at RPH.

Mrs Dazzle - Thanks for all that info. It just sounds soooo easy!!

Mrs Dazzle,

We liked RPR - but loved PBH! The theming was great, the rooms were (or seemed) bigger, the beds were sooooo comfy, the bathrooms were huuuge!

Someone even came to turn down our beds at night and left a choccie on the pillow and put the radio on!
