Hi

I have heard alot on this forum about how good the Express Pass is that you get when you stay on site at Universal...

However, when we go in 2010, we wont be staying on site!

When looking on the Universal web site it looks like you can buy these tickets if you aren't staying on site? :confused3 It doesn't however tell you how much they cost!

Has anyone ever done this? Any ideas how much the tickets are? I will be going with my husband who hates queueing for anything so if I can reduce the wait time that will be great!:dance3:

Thanks

Michelle

Go to this link, for 2 park 1 day express pass plus. It then gives a calendar with dates and prices for up until the end of this year. Or for one park 1 day pass look here.

Claire ;)

Also bear in mind that if you arrive at these 2 parks first thing in the morning (both often open before 9 am) the lines are minimal even in July/August. We have never had any real problems with lines going in the summer because for Disney and Universal we always try to arrive before the park opens.

The last 2 years we have stayed onsite at Universal and the room keys give you unlimited front of the line access which meant you were mostly straight on or with the minimum of waits. The Express Pass you buy allows you one ride on each of the rides. Staff were scanning them at a couple of points this year. Buying one of these does mean you don't have to be at the park early and will, at least, get on the rides quickly.

We bought the express passes when we arrived at Universal. The price was around $37 each if I remember correctly. That was just 2 weeks ago.

We arrived about 10.30 and it was getting pretty busy. The passes were invaluable to us and we never queued for anything.

I think it all depends what time of year you will be going - we went in september and absolutely did not need express passes - practically walked onto everything without them. For example I was strapped into HULK before 9am one day having waited exactly zero seconds in the non existe queue.

I can see the advantage at busier times tho...

Also to bear in mind - I believe you can only use the express pass for one go on each ride & it is only valid for use in one park per day - so I think that rules out park hopping- is that correct or did I get that wrong???:confused3

I still think you should pack an overnight bag and stay in a UO hotel for one night - that way you get two days worth of express and that wouldn't limit you to one go on each ride and you could park hop!!!

AND you get to stay in a wonderful hotel for the night - AND you get to eat their wonderful breakfast!!:rotfl: :rotfl: (AND I think I might love HRH/UO a bit TOO much):lmao::lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Amy,

I would love to but no one else thinks its a good idea!!!

Can I come and have breakfast with you one morning?!?!

Michelle
