I am considering a one night stay at RPR to get the benefit of the Universal Express passes.

I was wondering since everyone staying onsite will also have this option, how long are the lines for on site guests? Are they considerably shorter than the regular lines?

Also, do onsite guests and people who purchase the Express Pass in the park use the same line or are there separate lines?

Thanks

Everyone who has Express passes uses the same line.

It is MUCH shorter than the regular line. We were there last month & I think the most we waited was 15 minutes for the Simpsons (the regular line wait was 60 minutes).

Wow, that's pretty good! I'll have to give this a little more thought.

all above very true.

one exception:

people that buy the express pass plus can only use it once per ride and attraction.

people on site with the fotl hotel keys have unlimited rides and attractions.

Staying onsite is the only way to go!!!

1. You get two days worth of Express.
2. You get to go on each ride as many times as you want as opposed to only
once each with purchasing the express pass and not staying onsite.
3. You don't have to drive to the park. You just wake up and hop on the
boat and cruise to the park.
4. You also feel "special" when you stay onsite.
5. Your room key can also be used for your purchases at the park so you can
leave your wallet in the room. (good if you do water rides)

I know there are many more perks, but I stay onsite as many times as I can because it just makes the time go easier. The lines won't be ANY problem and you can relax and get everything done you want to do.

Just my opinion, but I would say do it!!!

That is my thoughts for staying a night at RPH.:yay:

Thanks everybody! It definitely sounds like staying onsite is the way to go. :thumbsup2

universal loves their guests........

i love the perks they give us....

If you stayed for a week do they still only give you 2 days express passes or will they give 7 days

You get express each day you stay at the resort--plus check-in and check-out day. So you'd get all 7 days.

i'm not sure if i understand your question but i will try to answer.

if you stay on site, you get the fotl for each day you are a paid hotel guest there.
on the day you check out of the hotel, you get the perk that your key card is still valid for fotl at the parks.

if you stay 7 days on site, you get 8 days of fotl perks.

the last time the fotl perk is valid ends at the time the park closes that day once you have checked out of the onsite hotel.

Your room key is your express pass.

Everyone booked to a room will receive a room key regardless of age.

Your room key will indicate your check-in date to your check-out date.

Everybody who takes advantage of the express line will have to show a valid room key to gain access to that line.

The line attendant will verify that the date of park visit is either on or in between the check-in and check-out dates printed on the room key(s).

After hearing about a great APH rate for RPR ($146.40/nite) I booked TWO nights!!!!

I am sooo excited. This is our first on- site stay. Every time we would go to US/IOA, I would look at the hotels and say "One day, we'll stay there." Well it looked like our day is coming!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Yea, I booked 6 nights next week. I have always gone off season so the most I normally wait is 5-10 minutes on the rides. Most the time walk right on so the FOTL pass does nothing for me. Since we dicided to try the summer again we booked the great rate and will give it a try. $146 is still about $100 more than I normally pay offsite off season.:scared1: But it should be worth it with the FOTL passes.:cool1:

We just got back. DH who HATES lines said it was the best theme park vacation he'd ever had. You'll love being onsite.
