Universal Express...do you need it or not?

The price doesn't change if you purchase in advance or in the park. They do only sell a limited number, but "hold aside" some to purchase in the park. If you purchase them early in the day (say before 11am or 12noon), you should be fine. I am not sure when they open the "calendar" for the EP and costs, but if you check it before your trip, you will get an idea of what they expect attendance to be. Higher price = busier park....lower price = lower crowds.

If you're going the week before Easter, you should be okay...crowds start when schools break for the Easter holiday.

I'm not real knowledgeable about purchasing the EP (we always stay onsite), but phamton is the resident expert when it comes to tickets :thumbsup2

You should wait until you get to the park to add the Express line pass. My bf and I only had regualr tickets and after seeing the lines this past Saturday after arriving we bought the Express passes. They were definitely worth it as most lines were almost an hour wait and we got in within 10 minutes. If you only have one day to see the parks it is great. But just wait and see as you can buy it throughout the day and througout the parks.

So how much is it to upgrade to an Express?

So basically it allow you to go on one ride once without queuing?

The Express Pass Plus is not an upgrade, but rather an "add on" to your ticket. You didn't mention if you were using 1 park or 2 park EP, but chose 1 or 2 day and click on 'Begin Purchase' here: http://www.universalorlando.com/tic_express.html and it will bring you to the prices of the EPs...just be sure to scroll down far enough to find your dates. If you purchase the EP, it allows FOTL access to each ride one time each...whereas if you stay at onsite hotel, you'll get unlimited FOTL with your room key ;) HTH

I am going tomorrow!!! First time in 2 1/2 years :thumbsup2

I am going to take the advice and get to the parks by 8am. That way I can get on all the rides...

My question is.... Are there still single rider lines???

Thanks again and I am so psyched to go to IOA

yes, on some of the attractions....just look for the single rider entrance in the front (w/ reg. entrance and EP)... Have a great time!
