We are going in July and are planning going to both parks, I am a little confused about the difference between express and express plus . I have seen on the universal website that you can buy the express plus in advance...which is going to be a lot of dollars! is the express pass still used and if so would it be cheaper. Also has anyone done all the headliners without the need for the passes in high summer...Thankyou for your replies

There are 3 ways to get express pass privileges:

- Buy the express pass. This entitles you to one entry at each ride through the Express line.

- Stay at one of the 3 hotels. This entitles you to unlimited entries to each ride through the Express line.

- Buy a Premier Annual Pass. This entitles you to unlimited entries to each ride through the Express line after 4 pm.

There is no free Express pass anymore.

go to the park and be in line 8 or soon after.

if the lines are long universal tends to let the guests enter around 8:30ish in the summer.

head for the highlights first, coasters......that is.

crowds will be there around 11

if they make the lines longer than a 25 minute wait, you can buy the express pass plus at that poing. you can wait and buy it if you find out you need it.

only a certain number of passes are sold per day for the park so don't wait until 2 in the afternoon to make that decsion. others have the same idea and buy once they stand in lines longer than they desire to.

if you stay on site, think of the money you would come out ahead.

the money you would pay for the express pass plus could go towards the cost of a room on site.

the hotel room key is the express pass for the lines. it is a perk all on site room guests get. and, the hotel key express pass is good for the day you check out.

spend one night on site and get two days of express lanes for the rides and attractions. there is no limit on the number of times you use it per ride/attraction.

express pass plus limits you to using it only once per ride and attraction
