Thinking of going to Universal Studios Hollywood next April during our spring break (apr 12-21). My boys have expressed an interest in going to a Dodgers game as well that week. Looks like the two are not too far apart? Is it possible to get Universal done in 1 day, getting there at opening and leaving around 5:30 pm then heading over to Dodger stadium? Wondering if we are crazy to do this???

I think it's possible but i may be crazy! I am planning a 10am tour of dodger stadium on a Friday morning, then onto a Warner bros studio tour at 2pm, and back to dodger stadium for a 7pm game, all commuting from anaheim! :) we will be gone all day and I love to keep busy so I think your plan is absolutely doable. However, it's just me and my husband so your kids may need a time for a break in between?

It's possible to do Universal in 1 day, but it can be pretty crowded during Spring break. For what you pay for tickets to Universal, plus food and probably souvenirs, and then what you pay for Dodgers tickets, plus food and probably souvenirs, I'd rather not do both on the same day. Why rush the theme park and then be exhausted at the game? There are a lot of other half day activities that could be paired with the game. Are you planning to stay in LA/Hollywood?

In an effort to save the commuting...we are flying into LAX and going straight to Universal. We plan to stay all day then drive down to Anaheim. The next day we will do a few hours at Disney then get going to the Dodger game.

We originally planned to go to Anaheim from the airport on Thursday, then go to Universal on Friday to leave early to get to Dodger stadium. But we can't really do that because grandparents are not going to dodger game with us, so we rather leave them in Anaheim as opposed to leaving them without a ride to Anaheim at Universal...

Sorry it doesn't help but I am going in late August and I can come back and let you know my opinion.. or you can message me so I don't forget.

I live pretty close to Universal and went to a Dodgers game tonight. 5:00 game on a Sunday. We left at 3:40, and parked at the game at 5:00. Traffic getting into the ballpark is insane!
