In the following situation would you get 5 day or 6 day Disney park tickets? I just don't know if we will want to visit a Disney park on the day we transfer to CBR from Universal? But it's not a whole lot more money to add that extra day. I just don't know how much we will love universal and if we will be done and ready for Disney earlier in the day on Sunday or not. The current plan is below and thanks!

Check-in to Universal premier on a Friday after traveling. Visit Universal parks Fri afternoon, all day Saturday and part of the day Sunday. Transfer to a Disney Resort (likely CBR) on Sunday afternoon or whenever we are ready to leave Universal. Have Monday, Tuesday, Weds, Thurs, Fri in Disney (5 park days) and then fly home Saturday.

We last did a Disney Universal trip in 2016-our 4 kids were all late teens or early 20 year olds.

2 days at Universal were enough to see everything. We had a 3rd day free, but only our oldest and dh and I did Universal that day- the other 3 were exhausted and slept in! So we went back to our favorites for a few hours.

I think we had 5 Disney days and did everything we wanted to.

This trip in June, we have planned 2 universal days with hoppers and Express passes then 4 Disney days with hoppers. With jobs and obligations, that's all the time we have for this trip and tickets are more expensive!

It kind of depends who is with you and what their loves are. I have a 14 year old boy who loves Universal best. I am a HUGE Star Wars fan (he is a fan, but I'm obsessive). He wanted 5 days at Universal (he always does) and I wanted at least 4 at Disney. He is a huge rollercoaster rider and loves Harry Potter. He can spend hours just doing spells in Knockturn Alley though....

We like to do disney first then universal. Universal is a little more relaxed. At Universal, you will get express pass that will make the parks easier to navigate. Currently at disney you will have no fastpasses.

That is a good point! We will have a 15year old boy who LOVES Disney but hasn't been to Galaxy's Edge-he's a big Star Wars fun-has not watched any spoilers since Galaxy Edge opened so he'll be surprised. He has NEVER been to Universal. And Mom isn't a big thrill seeker....I'd rather be at Disney but figure we should check out Universal. Dad just goes with the flow! We won't be doing any of the HUGE coasters at Universal.....no Hulk and not the new one either.

If you are staying at a Universal premier resort, might I suggest doing Disney first and then Universal? With no Fastpasses at Disney, it might be a bit of a letdown to go from being able to pretty much walk onto every ride you want (except Hagrid) to having to wait in line for everything. We're doing Disney and Universal in August-September and we set things up that way, in large part for that reason.

I agree with but our trip isn't for a year....I know....planning way ahead! and we arrive on Easter weekend! Hope fastpasses are back by then but thought Express pass would be best used on Easter weekend:) Otherwise I completely agree with switching the order!

I am all about a split WDW/Universal day but not on a day I am moving resorts much less from Universal to WDW.

That being said, I like Universal before Disney. Especially if you have express pass. IMO, the rides at Universal have far less re-rideability than WDW and with Express Pass and two parks compared to 4, I think it's a good way to start but not end my trip.

Even without FP+, overall avg standby wait times are less than pre-covid.

Thank you! Good to know on the re-rideability and wait times at Universal.
Of course the family says oh just get the extra Disney day just in case...there are only 3 of us. It's only $35 total for the 6th day! I think we will still do Universal before Disney....2 nights at Universal and 6 nights at WDW.....easier for the packing/unpacking and getting settled once we arrive to WDW.

If upgrading from a 5 to 6 day ticket doesn't break the budget, just go for it. Epcot is open until 11 and MK is open until 10, so plenty of time after dinner.
