We are dedicated Disney fans but are vacationing with family at Royal Pacific next year for 6 nights. :guilty: We would like to pop over from Universal resorts to Disney just for a day or 2? We really don't like split stays. Has anyone done this? :listen: Thanks for any input.

We stayed at All Star Movies for 6 nights and then stayed at Royal Pacific for 2 nights that worked out nicely since theres only 2 parks at Universal.

leaving in like 8 days for our first nights at HRH at Universal, then 9 nights at POR..........never been to a Universal Hotel, so I'm looking forward to it.

Last Sept. my DH had a convention in Orlando the host hotel was Portofino Bay at Univ, we stayed 3 days there and then switched to POFQ for 4 days. It was nice I got to stay at both places. When you stay on property at Universal you get front of line on must rides. The wait time was not bad. Because I was in Orlando I just had to visit WDW, that's why we switched resorts.

Going from one resort to the other wasn't bad, no problems. We had a rental car so it was easy. We must always get a rental while in Orlando. Have fun it's nice to stay at both.

We have always done WDW and Universal when we go and enjoyed both. However, last year was the first time we went to WDW then to Univ and then back to WDW. It was real easy and caused no problems for us. If you do not have a car you can rent a towncar that will take you back and forth. It is real easy and actually cheaper then using a taxi.

boxer- We did that last year. Except we were at POR first and then went to HRH. I love HRH. It is beautiful there and my kids loved the pool!!! It is just a short walk through the gardens to Universal. Enjoy your trip :thumbsup2

On our last trip, we stayed at Sarasota Springs and then went over to Royal Pacific for one night to take advantage of the Front Of the Line passes for resort guests! We LOVED it SO much that we're doing that again this trip!!! This time we're staying at Hard Rock. But, I'll tell you that as a DVC member, I was extremely impressed with their staff, cleanliness and attention to detail at the resort. The parks were awesome, but, of course, nothing compares to Disney in our book!!! :wizard:

The drive is a little bit of a hassle, but the resort is really nice!!
