Can anybody recommend the best places to eat at Studios & IOA or even City Walk we have 2 DS ages will be 10 & 8 when we are there. Considering Mythos at IOA. DS remembered Monster Cafe poss at Studios - anyone been there?

We are interested in Character Breakfast / dinners too - anyone experienced these at Universal. We've done quite a few at WDW and loved them, how do they compare?

How to book in advance - priority seating? We are staying at HRH for 5 days 08/02.

Also can anybody recommend best/cheapest place to buy 'supplies' on way to HRH from airport (Orlando International) - supplies such as bottles of water, juice, donuts, snacks, etc. (A Wal-mart maybe?)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Mythos is a must!

As for Monsters Cafe, it gets mostly negative reviews here on these boards. Lombard's Landing is nice but I see it as more of a grownups restaurant. Finnegan's has good pub grub. Now that I think of it, it's been a long time since I've chosen to eat at USF.

In CityWalk best recommendations for kids are Hard Rock, NBA City, and NASCAR (IMHO, at least).

Monsters is good if you stick with the chicken, chef salad and the apple pie. the movie clips make it a fun experience:smooth:

There are several WalMart's in Orlando, for a list in the Orlando area CLICK HERE

There is a Publix about a mile down Kirkman Rd and a Walgreens right down the block on the same block as the Radisson. I frequent them both on all my trips there because they carry everything you need and they're reasonably priced.

Is Monster cafe still closed?(my experience there was negative, yuck)

My kids (ages 7+12) have enjoyed Margaritaville, Hard Rock cafe and Mythos. We also liked Richter's in San Francisco. The burgers and veggie burgers were good. Excellent fruit cup too and a nice patio out back by the water. Enchanted Oak tavern in IOA is neat inside and the foods pretty good (dry turkey legs though).

Another place my kids liked was the Mama Della's restaurant at the Portofino Bay hotel. It's pricey but the food and service are excellent. I let my daughter have the marshmallow milkshake with her meal:p

There are a few character meals at the hotels but check with someone at the front desk to see if they are happening when you go. People have been given incorrect info over the phone and ended up with very dissapointed children.
