Hi everyone, I'm going to be in Orlando for the WDW Marathon and am going to spend the Saturday before the race at Universal. My group has a couple huge Potter fans and I am a major Simpsons fan so the priorities will certainly be spending time at those areas of the parks. We aren't planning on Express pas and hope to do as much as we can in the limited time. Does anyone know if this time of year will still be super busy with people on new year vacation still or does the Run Disney events kind of keep the crowds away? Thanks for any help!

What weekend was the Marathon this past year? I can check what wait times were the Saturday prior for comparison.

I always use this site to check what historical wait times were during a particular period/dates

https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/wait_times.php?a=history

You set the dates and then pick the park to show how busy it was, then you can look at specific attractions to see what their wait time was throughout the day.

Looking back at Jan 8 last year, UO and IOA looked to have some sizeable wait times. the HP stuff and Simpsons Ride looked to have wait times in the 40-45 min range. There was no Kong last year and Hulk was closed so that could have had somewhat of an impact (in terms of spreading the crowd).

If I had to wager a guess, my prediction would be that you'd be looking at wait times of say 30-45 min for those main attractions.
