Universal Christmas?

Does anyone have reviews, or comments about going there in the beginning of Dec?

I will be going for the first time this year during December. Have never been either but there are several articles on the dis about last year. The resorts will be decorated.

I've heard about Grinchmas and the Macy's parade floats. Looking forward to seeing it.

We go every year and enjoy it very much.

It's our favorite time to go - in-between Thanksgiving and Christmas. The crowds are very low, virtually no wait times, it's value season - so hotels are at their cheapest, the decorations are so fun, and the Xmas shows are fantastic.

We've tried March, October and December. Early December is our favorite time to go by far. Low crowds, decorations, shows and weather have made it our favorite time.

What kinds of special things does Universal do for Christmas?

We did early Dec last year.

Macy's was good, balloons are great, the annoying cheerleading people trying to get the crowd riled up less so!

Decorations are quite brash, hence they are not allowed in the Potter areas.

The Grinch Christmas Show at IOA is really worth going to, good music and all round family fun.

Other than that, I can't really remember anything else that stood out!

On the weekends in December, there are the Mannheim Steamroller free concerts at Universal. The concert was really good. Everyone sits on the grass in front of the stadium so bring a blanket or something to sit on if you want.

I remember it as 8pm. Only 1 show per night.
