Universal Characters Available?

Does anyone know of any websites that have a list of the characters available to meet at Universal?

Here are some of the characters: Cat in the Hat, The Grinch, Things 1 and 2, Sam I am and Guy, Popeye, Bluto, Olive Oyl. Betty Boop, Spiderman, Cyclops, Storm, Captain America, Rogue, Wolverine, All of the Sinbad characters, Dragon stiltwalkers, Dinosaur handler with a baby Triceratops, Shrek, Donkey and Fiona, Madagascar characters, Lucy and Ricky, The Flintstones, Shaggy, Scooby, Barney, Woody Woodpecker, Curious George and the man in the yellow hat, Jimmy Neutron, Dora the Explorer, Spongebob, Doc Brown, The Simpsons, Marilyn Monroe, the Blues Brothers, characters from the Beetlejuice show.

That will give you an idea. Most of the characters will be at the Studios but the super heroes will be at IOA. The characters are easy to approach and love to sign autographs and take pictures with kids.

No problem.

The Seuss characters are found in Seuss Landing...the dinosaur handler will be found in Jurassic Park in IOA and the other characters will be found at the Studios. They usually go all over the park so they are pretty easy to spot.

Any advice on where/when to find Scooby characters?

Scooby and Shaggy ride around in their van several times a day. They hang out in the Kid Zone area for autographs and pictures.

at WDW the CM seem to know where to meet who almost all the time - makes it nice if you are unsure. Is this the case at US/IOA?

It might be hit or miss asking a team member because the times change so often. The information is in the park map so just pick one up when you go in. If the character you are looking for isn't listed, stop by Guest Services and they can find out the time and place for you.

Hey, I am a red head too

I have no idea what I want to do. We were going to do NOTHING but water parks (aquatica, Wet N Wild, BB, TL) I am starting to chicken out (all that sun/water with my redheaded self is making me nervous LOL) so I dropped Aquatica for SeaWorld (still the water theme). We love water parks and talk about them all the time.

We are staying at Windsor Hills with a townhouse/private splash pool even LOL

I worry that my 7 yr old will be bummed that she can't go on a few of the coasters (54" requirement) that her 10 yr old sister will go on at US and IOA. Never even thought about them until today for some reason.

Decisions, decisions (if you read my trip report from our last orlando trip, you will see why I am conflicted .... I have already canceled a week at Disney with free dining for the water themed trip!)

In my limited experience, SpongeBob is always out in a specially themed area, but everyone else is usually hanging out near their attraction if they are out that day.

It's more hit and miss for the likes of Scooby & Shaggy, Lucy & Ricky and Doc Brown, Madagascar characters etc.
If I see them at all then they are driving past waving or meeting near Schwab's Pharmacy.

Universal make it harder to find characters than Disney, but I like that it adds to the suprise when you do.

Where they end up varies, but Spidey is usually in his store and Doom and/or Goblin by the Bank van.

I think they also announce their arrival with sirens etc.

if you check the park guide map, it will give you the times of:

Meet Spider-Man and the Marvel Super Heroes

They arrive on the atv's and are available for pictures and chatting.

The sirens go off when they start their ride to Marvel land.
they stay in the area in front of spiderman ride across the street and by the store.

last years October guide map has their hours for:

times change per date and season

spider - man is available for a meet and greet with photos every day at the Marvel Alterniverse Store from 9:45 am to 5 pm based on last October's schedule.

again, check the park guide map for the current hours.

Toon Lagoon Character Zone:
10:10 am-1:00pm and 1:50 pm -4:45PM



Seuss Character Zone:
10:00am -1:00pm and 1:40pm-4:45pm
