I am planning a Disney/Universal trip for Thanksgiving '11. It will be Friday and Saturday at Universal (before Thanksgiving) then Sunday thru Friday at Disney. I am trying to decide if I will just stay at my DVC (Beachclub) the whole time or get a hotel room at Universal for FOTL access. Is it worth the extra $$ for the room at Universal/FOTL? Is it really crowded that weekend before Thanksgiving?

Thanks!

The weekend before isn't too busy but that weekend is. I doubt you would need to spend the money for onsite Express access.

Pre-HP I would agree that staying on property might not matter as much. But as the past few "off-season" weeks have shown - there is no "slow week" at IOA these days.

As such if you can find yourself a decent rate on property at Universal why use the extra points to stay at Disney on a weekend and then still have to get to Universal, etc.

Staying at one of the Loews hotels on property gets you unlimited FOTL. Plus it gives you a chance to experience something other than Disney as well.

Well that's my thought!

Happy vacationing!!

Thanks, Metrowest & Linda :)

I think I will probably stay at Universal, though the hotel rates are pretty high, the thought of being stuck in lines with the kids isn't a happy one:mad:

I don't imagine they have any deals for just a two night stay so I will just have to "suck-it-up" and enjoy it! :yay:
