Hi folks...I'm trying to pull off a Sept trip with the $49 code for the All Stars. I want to do 2 days at US and IOA and a day at SW. With My Orlando Magicard I can Get the HOJO Inn International at 6603 I-Drive for $45 a nite or Ramada Inn@I-Drive at 5858 I-Drive for $39 a nite. Has anyone stayed in these hotels and would you recommend them? Any other suggestions are welcome. I won't have a car so I need a shuttle and I know the Ramada has one to US and SW. One more Question...Does the I-Drive Trolley go to US, IOA, Citywalk, or SW? Thanks Everyone. :D :smooth:

Cheers:)

PS...I'm beginning to think I can pull this off. It HAS to be cheap. I'll be doing Sept 9-12 offsite and 13-19 at ASSp.:D :jester:

Hi, Barry:

I have not stayed at either of these hotels but would suggest to you if you have not considered it to try Priceline. If you bid on a 3 star in the USF area you can get a much better property for the same price or LOWER.

The I Ride Trolley has stops for SeaWorld and Wet and Wild but not specifically for USF. The closest stop according to the map is the stop on Major Blvd, #5.

If you get a hotel close enough to the park, on Major or Kirkman the cab trip is less than $5.

Please don't take this the wrong way Barry .. but I've seen numerous posts from you on the board here always inquiring about different properties. Now, I've done similar because never habing been to Orlando, I too want lots of input about properties I'm considering. What perplexes me however, is that in this latest thread, you not only ask questions about hotels and trasnportaion.. but then provide similar information to another poster

Hi alde...I asked those questions when I first started this thread 3 weeks ago and I've found LOTS of info on Universal area hotels since then. So when JCButterfly bumped this thread back up asking for the same info, I answered with what I know so far, just where to get some info and about 2 hotels that are close and reasonable, not to mention that the Crowne Plaza is VERY new, and I had never heard of it when I started this thread. I'm a fast learner and I'm just trying to help someone else out. I've asked so many questions about different properties because I don't want to end up staying in a dump if I don't stay on property.

Cheers:D

Hi barry,

Would you be able to swing the cost of the RPH $99. intro rate onsite at Univ.

You would NO transportation problems then (bus to SW) and you would be at a nice new hotel.

Herc.

Herc-

I know I'm not Barry but I want help too!

When I called Loews, they said the only property available was the HRH and it was $197 per night.

How does everyone keep getting this $99 rate? Is there a different number I can call?

Thanks,
Brenda

Brenda:

Depending on your dates the $99 rate is the Entertainment rate or the Annual Pass rate. There are no July Ent rates available based on my last call, but the AP has some.

The Entertainment rate is in the Entertainment book, and you can find it at www.entertainment.com This years book expires in November so if your trip is after Nov, get the 2003 book.

Good luck!
