Universal AP Pickup Question

We are arriving in Orlando at 6pm on Friday, December 16. We are staying 1 night at RP to get early entry and FOL for our one day visit on Saturday, December 17. I booked the room using the AP discount. I just went online to order my pass and it is $14 to have it fedexed, or free to pick up at the kiosks. The $14 fedex puts us well over the breakeven point of getting an AP.

Here are my questions: IOA closes at 7pm Friday night. No way we can get there before then. Can I pick up my AP from the automated kiosks, or do I need a live person? How late is there a live person at the ticket booths? Or how early? We get early entry starting at 8am. I will get there at 7am if there is a live body in the booth.

I then will need to purchase 4 single day park to park tickets. Do I have to go to the ticket booth at the parks? Can I buy the discount tickets in the hotel lobby if I can get my AP Friday night?

Can I just purchase my A/P once I get there? I may prefer not to get one and just pay full price for everything if it is too much trouble getting tickets the night before. Trying to make sure we don't waste any of our hour early entry getting tickets.

Lastly, I believe we can just buy regular tickets in the hotel lobby. Is that correct? and is there specific times this is offered?

Thanks for any help any one can provide!

I bought my AP online, and as it says online and on the voucher/email for the voucher, just go to the kiosk. It was SUPER easy and took almost no time at all. Even printed out with my name on it.

Buying tickets, I believe, involves a ticket booth if you're trying to use your discount from the AP.

In your case I would get to the gates even before Early Entrance to wwohp, do your stuff, then get on in line!

I had the same questions since I bought my AP online.

I called their customer service line, since I cannot log onto the AP holder website without having the AP in hand. They said I could purchase my AP discounted tickets for the rest of the party over the phone.

I will be doing that soon. :)

Please let me know how that works out. I assume you would then just pick all the tickets up at the kiosks? That sounds like it might make everything work.

Just don't want to get stuck in a line on Saturday morning and waste any part of my hour.

Yes...tickets can be picked up at the kiosk with no trouble. The AP will be scanned and activated when you go through the gates so your year will begin at that time.

The difference with purchasing guest tickets at the AP discount is you have to have an active AP to purchase. If you don't have the AP activated, you cannot purchase discounts online. By purchasing over the phone, you can pay for the AP and the guest tickets at the same time. But you can't do it online.

THANKS! I don't want to order until we are closet to leaving. With the recent passing of my father and my middle child having major knee surgery a couple of weeks ago I don't want to buy anything else non-refundable until I feel more confidant we are definitely going.
