Jen I really hope that your dad gets a fair shake from the insurance company. I can't BELIEVE that the dufus next door was just sleeping through it all?!!? REALLY?!?!

Voted, that was a good closeup!

I do too. I'm sure it's a long road a ahead yet.

Thanks!

When you find some time, send a bit my way. I still have to take Kadence shopping so she can pick put something for John for Father's day, which is Sunday apparently! WTH, I can't keep up with how fast things go past me anymore!

Fires are unbelievable in the destruction. Both my dad and grandfather are retired FF and we as a family saw the aftermath of quite a few (families have a habit of chasing after when they get called into a really bad one).

Just take lots of pics (of course you will! :rotfl:) and document EVERYTHING! With him having 3 fires he's gotta be on the hook even for civil charges if the insurance doesn't come through.

I voted! Good Luck!

It looks like I might be lying again. :scared: LOL Well if I can get my pictures loaded I will post a few new items tonight.

just take care of business, we'll be here; voted for your picture, love the Mickey!

Thanks. Claire was gone today, but I had "work" to do and I still haven't finished it all. The one is easy, but the other is an article I need to write and I am putting it off. LOL
I did get my kitchen floor mopped which I have been trying to do for over a week.

Why are these days flying by? It doesn't feel like summer yet to me.
I think Claire is going to make a craft...because I got crap for Mothers day except for an art project.

Fires are just awful. I haven't heard any new news yet. The ywanted me to come over last night to cut dads hair, where I would've gotten the lastest update too, but I was too busy to even find the time to do that.

Ok, now I have to go pick up a prescription. My 20 minutes of alotted internet time is over. :crazy2:

I should get him what I got, a small bouquet of flowers that died the next day, and some M&M's

He's not good at that kind of stuff.:(

Skip just mentioned that Sunday is fathers day. I just went uh huh. LOL

Life has been busy and I just can't seem to find time to write even the simplest updates lately....UGH.

I thought I would share the 2 outfits Mom got Claire for the trip. The 2 neices also have the same outfits so they will all be matching.

I think this one will be used for the day we board the Dream.

I am thinking this one would be great for the day we get off the ship and head to WDW.

We also FINALLY got our party tickets. I ordered them the first day they went on sale, along with several sets for others. I had each set sent to the rightful owner....mine never showed up. After hearing all my friends recieved theirs and mine still hadn't shown up I called. They said they were sent and read the address...not mine....but it was the Michelle's home address. I have no clue why they were sent there as I gave my address twice to be sure she had the right one.

Coincidentally Michelle had asked a day or 2 previous to my call on a facebook page if anyone was missing 4 christmas party tickets. She said she was on her way out the door (leaving for WDW) and would chack back when she got home. This had me wondering if those tickets were mine, except I should have 2 Halloween and 2 Christmas tickets.

When she got home she looked and sure enough that is what it was. It only listed on the letter that they were christmas party tickets, but when you look at the back of the ticket it does list 2 of them as Halloween tickets. So I was happy they were found...but I am a "I want it now in my hands" kind of person. Michelle has been very busy and traveling too (she is currently at DL as an invited guest for the Carsland opening events). So she did get a chance to send them off before she left and I received them yesterday!

Yay!! But the only thing that irks me is that I had to now pay double shipping charges because Disney screwed up.

My sister still hasn't given me her other two days of dining plans yet. I understand she is busy, but places do book up too and we had 6 other family members waiting on her decision. I talked to my Mom and we decided to just make the "older" adults (6) ADR's without my sister. I was worried that as time went on, we would have a hard time finding some place for 10 people.

So for now my parents, Aunt and Uncle, and Cousin and her DH are at the Captains Grill on Nov. 8. (my dad is a steak kind of guy, so I tried to find places that he could get steak or chicken and simple normal things). Nov. 9 they will be at Cape May cafe for dinner. Claire and I will be there that night too. I think we dine about 30 minutes after them. On Nov. 10 they have the Wave for dinner.

Cute outfits!

I do miss the days when I could buy things from the Disney store.......

That's really surprising about the tickets. I used to think Disney CMs gave a lot of bad info, but got stuff like ths right. But lately...... not so much.....

We are maxing out on those outfits now too. Not all the 10s fit the same. Some are small, so we won't be getting much more from there. The pre teen stuff is limited and not as cute. I really think Disney needs to add to the line with more preteen stuff.

They used to sell more pre-teen stuff. Then about the time Katie was moving to that size, they cut back. Even the 10/12's became 10's. And they stopped selling the 2/3 shoes.

I guess that's because the "cool" kids stop wanting to wear Disney stuff around that age. I'm surprised (and disappointed) at how young other kids will make fun of another kid wearing a Disney t-shirt. That wasn't really the case (thankfully) at Katie's school.

Thankfully we're now just coming out of "no man's land" for Disney things (too big for kid stuff, too small for adult stuff) and I'm able to buy size small adult stuff for Katie. I even got us a couple matching t-shirts for our trip. But man, the adult stuff is a lot more expensive!

I'm in the era of custom mades now. Even then it' sometimes hard to find things big enough.
Claire has a few friends that ask her why she is always wearing a disney shirt, and she just tells them that we like Mickey. Though I think some if it is jealousy on her friends part, especially the one. She wants everything Claire has even though she dresses cute as a button too.

I'm still in "no man's land" for most patterns to make stuff. Too big for chld sizes, too small for adults. There are just a few pages in the pattern books for tweens, but it's really hard to find what I'm looking for. Sometimes I have to draw my own patterns in this size range. That Mary Poppins last year was a nightmare. I made he bodice once and had to throw it away and start over. I ended up using an adult size, but the proportions were still wrong on that first one.

And yes, I do think some of the reaction from other kids is indeed jealousy. I'm not sure if any of the kid in Katie's class have been to Disney or even know what it's really like.

Very cute outfits! Very cruisey!

Kadence will wear her Disney stuff and be okay, but her teacher this year was the one making comments. I think she was miffed we took Kadence out of 2 DAYS in Sept so, after that it was just subtle things like, " Do you have to wear your Disney sweatshirt every week?" Um, yes, it's her jacket when it cool!

I do find that most Disney stuff in local stores are kinda crappy. I have started looking at handmade as well, just for the trips though.
