Can anyone tell me what the Universal Hotels are like, is it worth the extra money to stay there and get priority in the lines for rides ?

How busy is Spring Break usually ?

Thanks

First, welcome to the boards. You will be able to find tons of info here. Be sure to check out all the stickies at the top of each board.

What are the hotels like? RPR is beautiful; tropical lush, relaxing. It has a great pool too. HRH is awesome; hip, rockn'roll feel. It has a great pool with a waterslide and underwater music playing. PBH is quite beautiful; Italian-Mediteranean feel. Very upscale with two pools. The nice thing with the pools is that Univeral allows and even encourages pool hopping.

Is it worth the extra $? Relative question, but, to us, yes! We love staying on site. You can walk or take a short boat ride to the parks. You can easily take breaks at the hotel and enjoy the pools. FOTL is the absolute best thing going. You get spoiled very quickly with this perk. If you research, you can usually fiind nice discounts on the hotels: AAA, APH (annual passholder) and Supersaver rates (stay 3 nights or more and get 30% or more discount per night). Supersaver is usually the best discount.

If you have AAA or an AP, you can also get discounts (10%) on food & merchandise.

We've never been during Spring Break, but I understand that it can get pretty busy. I guess it depends on your dates as Spring Break differs depending on the part of the country you are in.
