Universal 360 and Water Ski Show at IOA

Does anyone know if they will be having Universal 360 and the Water Ski show at IOA this summer? I looked on the US website and didn't see anything about either of these. We will be there June 22- 26. We have always gone earlier in June and we missed these shows. We thought we would go later in June this year and maybe get to see them.

Haha....found you!!!

The 360 doesn't start running till the park stays open till 10...usually last Friday or Saturday of June (you might miss it ) It runs when 'peak' time is happenin....parks open late (which, kinda ticks me off, cuz it's plenty dark that last week of June by 9 - 9:30pm )

As for the water show at IOA, I am pretty sure that will be there when you are cuz it's a 'day' thing.... (show schedule was in front of JPDC).... if you read day 1 of last summer's TR (link in sig), I have pix and description of show and viewing areas....

How's that for help?

Pretty good Barb! That sux that we will probably miss the 360 show! They've got the calendar up and they will be open 'til 9 the whole time we'll be there. It looks like the first 10 closing will be on Sat. June 28... Maybe they will change it for us.... I don't really want to go any later than I have already planned.

There was another DISer asking the same thing.... who was that? ...They usually went the beginning of June and realized everything they were missing just by a few weeks...so, they were gonna try for the end of June instead! But, yeah...it's disappointing, I know... we usually arrive the last week of June and are checking out just before July 4th....we only usually catch a day or two for the 10pm closing.... This year a little different.... 1 night of closing at 9, the rest at 10 ..... us!!! Finally!!!! (I really HATE leaving at 9...seems like SO much to keep doing for another hour!)

Alison, in case I forget to tell you....be sure to ride Jaws at night...as late as you can to be in as much "darkness" as you can....it is totally kewl

I think that was me...when we were first thinking about changing our plans to the end of June instead of the beginning. Yeah, I totally want to ride Jaws at night. I remember when you and Melanie were planning to ride it and then you did. That must have been fun!

Yeah...coulda been you Yeah...we rode Jaws on a Friday or Saturday... the first night the 360 show was showing (gives you an idea of how dark it needs to be for 360 to show). If you want to ride Jaws at night, be in the line for one of the very last rides that nite...so it's good and dark! It was a totally kewl experience and we enjoyed it. Matter of fact, I don't think I'll let Ma ride it for her first time TILL it's dark....don't want her to 'see' it comin'....wanna scare the pants off her

That is a great idea to ride Jaws after dark! I need to figure out if there will be darkness for my March 8-10th visit, with park open 'til 8 on the 8th. What date is the clock change forward this year?

Dang!! I'll lose a much needed hour of sleep after hitting the parks hard Saturday.

Should be a good chance of darkness Satuday night to ride, then head to Mardi Gras.

The flames will be awesome after dark. Is the boathouse lit inside or is it totally black?

Pretty much dark....adds to the "coolness" of the nitetime ride

Yes, this is good!!! We usually go in early June. This year with others going and school, we are going the end of June. We might be able to catch it on our last night. Thanks for the info!
