Universal - 2 Parks, 1 day?

We'll be visiting Disney and Universal next month, during the off season. My question is is it possible to do both Universal IOA and Universal Studios in one day? I should mention I have three kids, ages 13, 7, and 2. We want to see and do as much as possible, but we also don't want them to be so exhausted that they don't enjoy everything.

Thanks for the advice.

Having just been there in Aug not busy time with my kids 6 and 9 I would have to say no. Even if the parks were dead empty you will run yourselves ragged trying to cover all of it. We had the 7 day unlimited passes and although we conquered all of it in just over a day and a half my kids liked it so much we spent 3 days there. Being your kids are so diverse in ages you'll find yourself doing the age apropriate stuff. I'd venture a guess and say if you split up you could do it. You could get some really good opinions be posting on the universal forum. They helped me back when i was planning and were very helpful

I agree. I think even with a room key it would be hard to do both in 1 day.

I would also recommend 2 days, especially with the difference in the ages of the children. We did it in one day, 3 adults, just covering certain popular attractions. When we had the family, and covered more territory, it was nice to have the two days.
