Universal 2 day ticket question???

Here's the deal. We were at IOA back in 2001 and I found a 2-day ticket that had been purchased that day. We kept it because the sign at the gate where you purchase tickets said they did not expire. We are planning to go back this year and my husband is wondering if it was still good. Could it be cancelled if the original person reported losing the ticket and got it replaced? Does anyone out there have an answer? Thanks, Teri.

I'm not sure about universal but on our recent trip to WDW my son left his 5-day hopper in the fast past machine w/1 day left on it. I had copied the back of the ticket & was able to get a replacement so if someone found that ticket I'm sure they couldn't use it. It's probably the same at universal.
