First off, this board is fantastic. We've been to Disneyworld a few times, and have enjoyed helping people who have never been or haven't been in awhile with their questions, and now WE have questions! Hope ya'll can help!
We're going to Universal for the first time in a few weeks. We leave May 28 and return June 4th. We're going to Universal for the first time (my youngest son hit 6 last year and was finally tall enough to enjoy all the rides at Disneyworld, which is why we waited until this year to hit Universal......no sense in going if he can't go on most of the rides!), and have a couple of questions.
First off, does ANYONE know the height requirement for the new Mummy ride? The only ones we're going to have to pass on this year are Dr. Doom (no biggie), Dueling Dragons, and the Hulk. We figure thats okay, because that'll give us new stuff to do if we go back next year, but the Mummy looks fantastic (video preview on the Universal site ROCKED), so we hope to be able to all go on that. (the rule is, if we ALL can't go, NO ONE goes, so that we all can enjoy 'em for the first time together).
Secondly, we have the two day-3rd day free ticket......do you think we'll be able to do one park one day, the other park the other day, and then have the 3rd day to relax and just hit the rides that have become our favorites?
Lastly, as I said, we are going May 28th-June 4th.......Fri-Fri. What days should we hit Universal? Schools are going to still be in for the most part, so Mon-Wed, maybe?
Thanks so much for the help, people!!!!
:)

From this photo, it appears to be 48".

I assume you are staying at a Disney property the entire time, is this correct? If so, you won't have FOTL for staying at a USF property. Yes, you can see everything in 3 days. It just means you need to arrive to the parking garage at 8am each day, and be first at the gate. In the afternoon, things get hot, and the crowd arrives. That's when you take a long lunch, or head over to USF to see some shows.

Days to go? I'd say Mon-Wed. Why? That's when others do their days at Disney. Plus school field trips usually happen on a Friday. Visit SWF on a Thrusday or Friday and that will be a relaxing end to your trip.

No, we rented a house........saves lots of money on food, and it has a pool, so we'll be able to cool off in the evenings. And did I mention it saves lots of money on food? These kids can EAT! LOL

Alright, then you'll head back to your house in the afternoon around 1-2pm each day. Or, you'll let the kids get soaking wet at the water playground areas of what ever park your are in. At IOA, it's the JPRA play area with dinosaur guns that shoot water. At USF it's the Feivel play area with a play house that has two huge buckets that drop water every few minutes. Plus a ton of other squirt guns to get people soaked.

Food? No problem. Here are the www.publix.com locations if you don't know.

A couple miles west of I-4 on the south side of the road.
7640 Sand Lake Road
Orlando FL 32819

Just north of USF on Kirkman and Conroy RD (NW corner)
4606 S. Kirkman Road
Orlando Fl 32811

Bring up maps.yahoo.com and print the maps. You can even get directions by putting the address of your rented home in there, and then the destination. Buy a styrophone cooler in the beer section, then get doughnuts, chips, milk, juiice, beer, sodas, and a few subs from the deli.

THANKS........we're not being "picky" or "cheap", but after a hot dog here and there, drinks, ect.....in Disneyworld, it adds up. We're going to eat at least once a day at the park at a "sit down" place, but the wife and I are usually as excited as the kids, so we don't stop much!!
Any help with the other questions?
