United Miles ???

United Miles ...

Does anyone know if you have to cancel a flight that you got with United miles can you get your miles back with no penalty?
I thought on the web page it said no penalty but when I called they wanted to charge me 600 bucks to cancel four one way flights.

The mileage re-deposit fee is $150 per ticket. So if you booked 4 one-way tickets the $600 charge is technically correct. The fee is waived for Global Services and 1K members.

Depending on the reason you are canceling you may get a sympathetic agent to waive the fee.

Just an additional FYI, you can change the date of travel for award tickets at no charge.
