Is it true that guests flying United Airlines who use the Resort Check-In are currently exempt from the airline's checked bag fees? Thanks!

Not that I am aware of, you will most likely need to pay for your luggage with BAGS.

I heard that was true at one time but not sure if it's still the case.

I had never heard this. Is there any way to find out for sure?

We were just there and flew United, and you still pay the fees. We called a number Disney gave us and took the confirmation number with us to check our bags for ME back the airport. The papers clearly said if we did not pay the fees they would not take our bags.

Does United charge for a stroller now? They didn't the last time we flew but that was a bit ago.

No charges for stollers or car seats. We flew them last year to Kauai and had both, and this year just DS stroller.

Passengers on United flights used to be exempt from paying the bag fee when using RAC, but that is no longer the case (I believe it ended around 2009). Now you have to call United and pay the bag fees before dropping your bags off at RAC.

What do you do if you have status in the mileage program and don't have to pay the fees?

They will know that when you check in at RAC. Somehow your confirmation with United shows if you are exempt from the fee or not. I use the Continental Visa (haven't gotten the new one with United on it yet) and I'm exempt for bag fees for that reason.
