So we have a large group of us (14) heading to Disney in November. With the exception of myself and my son (we have APs), everyone else will be purchasing tickets through my aunt’s work as they offer slightly discounted tickets.

Now she purchased 2 so far and opted for email delivery. She got an email that states she needs to go to a park window with ID to pick up those tickets.

Does this affect being able to make FP selections 30 days before? Since she won’t have an active ticket in her account until she picks them up?

Also does anyone know if you can pick up those type of tickets in Disney Springs instead?

Thanks for your help!

I have historically bought military discounted tickets that aren't activated until I get there. I *do* get a paper ticket though with a scan bar on the back or a serial number. I can use that information to link to my MDX account prior to going to the park to get the tickets activated.

I hoping that your aunt got something like this. I can't imagine she didn't. She can use that to link the tickets.

I wasn't aware that there was any other park kiosks but at the parks so you probably do have to go to a park. One year, our first day was at Typhoon Lagoon and that was easy to activate there. No lines. If you have a car and not dependent on Disney transportation, it's a bit easier to activate at a water park because the parking lot is small and you're right at the front.

Thank you. Is the serial number for all tickets purchased or do you get serial numbers for each individual ticket?

Thanks for the tip at the water parks. We are planning to do the Bon Voyage Breakfast on the Boardwalk the day before we start hitting the parks. So maybe we will walk over to Epcot and pick them up then so we don’t waste time on our park day.

If she got a ticket number to link them to her MDE she may or may not have to actually go to will call to pick up the tickets. AS long as she can link them to her MDE she/you will be able to make FP with the tickets. If she does have to pick them up to activate them there is a Guest Relations at Disney Springs where she can do that. Canadian Resident Tickets do need to be activated after we show proof of residency as do Florida Residency tickets and Military tickets.

Yes.

As each e-ticket is received, link it to a person in the MDX account and you’ll be set to book FPs each day your FP window opens.

Disney Springs Guest Relations can issue your plastic tickets. Anyone who has a linked MB won’t need the plastic ticket.

Serial numbers may be per ticket or they may be one code that says 2 tickets and then you link each ticket to an individual.

All my paper tickets/vouchers have had individual serial numbers so you could link each ticket to each person. Then I would write the person's name on the ticket voucher as I linked them. But I never really needed the vouchers after that.

Thanks everyone. Waiting to hear back from my aunt to see if she has serial number(s) in her email.
