Unique Dog Names....

Our Dalmatian is Chubby Checkers we call him Checkers or Bubby,

Can I break the rules? Our dogs don't have very unique names (Marshall and Lilo), but we do have a cat named "Pallet". We found her when she was a tiny kitten and she was hiding in one of those wooden stacking pallets..... We always get strange looks when we tell people her name, lol!

We have a black lab named Indigo Blue....indy for short. Our cats are Bacci (Little Kiss) and Apollo (after FIL buisness ) When I was in college we had a cat named Uno (hubby soccer #) Umbro and CB (Crossbar...DH was the goalie) ?Our neighbors last name is Goddard....their dog is" Oh My"....Oh My Goddard! Love it!!!

We got a dog from the shelter named Kramer, so when we got a puppy, we named her Newman (Noomie for short).

We have a cocker spaniel named Tamika and a Goldendoodle name Jasmine. When I was growing up we had a dog named Askit....what's your dogs name....Ask it! That's my dad for you.

We have a collie/shephard/greyhound cross from the pound. We named him Chaos.

Growing up we had many dogs throughout the years:

a alaskan husky named Kodiak we called her Kodie
3 dashunds - Peanut, Muffin and Claudia
a mutt - Bandit (a very fitting name)
a chow-chow - Shang

Now as a mom we had/have:

a black lab mix - Sierra Mist (Yep, thanks to a four year old) She was only with us for three weeks as she had distemper and they had to put her down. She was in a coma. My kid's first experience with a dog and death. :sad2: It was extremely sad.

We now have a great healthy puppy whose a collie/shepard mix called The Sand Dog aka Sandy. She loves sand what can we say? :confused3 Great dog, very kind and patient with Trouble, I mean Thomas our 2 1/2 yr old.

BTW our cat is Marcipan, trust me it fits her. We also call her la gata pequena con la boca grande. Otherwise known as the little cat with the big mouth.

We also had a cross dressing male beta fish whose name was Dorothy. Again thanks to a three year old. It was his fish, but sadly after 3 years it decided to go back to sea.

Sorry off-topic, I do love this thread.

Husky/Rot mix, furry like a husky but rotty markings-Nikita which I got the name from the show Le Femme Nikita show.
German Shepard: Sasha, I wasn't very imaginative with her name, I was going to get a boy dog and had cool names like: Tonka, Demon after Snow Dogs, but got a girl dog instead and Sasha just came to me.

A woman I work with has a grandpuppy named Bronte, and her daughter is looking for a Whitman.
My parents' German Shepherd is Bronte, too. :)

Our puppy is Muggsy Rose. She's a Cav-Chon.

Our cats' names are more unusual -- Naboo and Binthi.

We have Princess - not so unique DD9 named her three weeks after we moved to Orlando!

Our Yorkie is Maia - The Godess of Spring. We got her in April, and had a spring when she ran through the grass. I was going for something in the mythology family as my niece had a Fila name Hera, and my sister had a Yorkie named Thor....

We also have Emmie, Cassie, Daphne, Kovu & Simba that cats .. and Pashmina the hamster!

We have a border collie named Dakota (kota for short), an australian sheperd named Parker and a rottie who is sweetly named, Reese, but we also call her Ree or beans(don't ask). They have a bunch of nicknames though :goodvibes

A friend has a lab he uses for hunting. He named the dog Trigger, which I thought bery appropriate. I suggested to him when he gets a 2nd lab he name it Happy ... so he can yell Trigger Happy.

Reminds me of Steven Wrights old joke ... he named his dog goaway so he could say "come here go away" over and over again. :rotfl:

Our chocolate Lab, Legend, crossed the Rainbow Bridge in August from bone cancer. I didn't like her name when we adopted her 14 months earlier, but she liked it, so it stuck. We usally called her Ledgie. Legend suited her quite well, and we got a lot of comments on her name!

CoCo Chanel, the worlds sweetest lab and Clover, a beautiful spaniel. She also answers to "the veevs".....

Our mutt is Ruby. Not sure why...I just kinda liked it. Our doberman's name in Greta. We wanted something German sounding. Our next Doberman is going to be a male named Deuce (get it, because he's our second one :teeth: )
The best name was my brother's German Shepard. This dog was a trained guard dog and could be mean if you came to our home unexpected. The dog's name .... Angel :rotfl2: :lmao: He actually bit my parents landlord because he was sneaking around our garage while we were asleep. So in a way he was our guardian Angel ;)

We have a border collie/lab mix named Indy after Indiana Jones.

Our dog when we were groing up was a Golden Retiver named Indiana Jones and we called him Indy. My brother named him when he was 8 can you guess what he was into! Our cat's name is Belle!

We rescued a Greyhound 3 years ago, and we named him Pharaoh, he is very docile and quite a beautiful dog. The breed goes back to ancient Egypt, so I thought it was a perfect name for him...

Our Siberian Husky is named Isabella (Bella for short).

Our German Shepherd is named Balin. It is a name from the Tolkien Books/World. The character Balin was a Dwarf & was very adventurous & became the Lord of Moria.

Our Great Dane is named Sophia. Our DS (3) named her.

Our Chinese SharPei is named Ch MrWiggles EvilPea (wiggles for short). He was called EvilPea when we bought him and he was way to sweet for that name!! Now, I have seen a really cool name for a dog in a magazine and it was "Neiman Barkus" (spelling?) :rotfl2:
