unique/different stocking stuffers?

Target has design a vinyls on sale for $8 this week. It's a white vinyl character with markers in the package.

My son was also talking about a long strip of LED lights that can change color and patterns. He wants one to put it behind his computer monitor at college. I'm thinking I'll look for that when I'm out and about tomorrow. It sounds like it would coil up and fit in a stocking.

I got these from Amazon. I even saw them on their Lightning Deals this morning. About $9.50. My son wants them to go inside of his computer tower with a clear window.

Not sure I have anything unique, but things I have for DD16s stocking: Sharpie pen sets, Flesh-tone Colored pencils (she likes to draw portraits), mini pillow pet (good for travelling), accessory hangers (hold scarves), travel sonic toothbrush, false eyelashes and adhesive, full size bottles of body wash/face wash, purse-size atomizer, misc makeup items, about 5 cellphone cases (for her new phone, she likes to change them a lot, got them on ebay for just a couple bucks each), bluetooth earbuds, cell phone camera lens set.

I usually do candy, a couple of USB drives, a toy from ThinkGeek, and then some sort of joke item. This year the joke item is a bottle of poo-pourri.

I used to buy funky bandaids for the kids' stockings. Now we have tons of bandaids so I switched to funky socks. They wear uniforms to school but are allowed to wear whatever socks they want so they've gotten really into funky socks. I like to buy fun candy at World Market. They have a great selection of candy and stocking stuffers there. I've also gotten for the kids small Lego sets, Lego stickers you can use to personalize Legos, finger lazers, book lights for reading in bed at night, spy pens, crayons in the shape of dinosaurs, trading cards, Mad Libs, card game. For adults I've gotten holiday scented chapstick, fancy spice blends, nice smelling hand sanitizer, fun shaped tea balls with some unusual tea, purse compact with a family photo on the front, fun keychain, earrings, gift cards, multitools, car mugs, fun cell phone case, new wallet.

My nephews are getting those bath sponges that come in the shape of pills, an expandable wash cloth, and these tablets that are like child bath fizz bombs as they turn the water a fun color. I got the pill sponges and wash cloths at Michaels in the kids area, they also had mexican jumping beans and such in a dollar type toy section.

Another fun item I found on clearance this summer for adults or teens was lens/filters that clip onto smart phones for taking photos (like a fish bowl effect and another effect I can't remember). My local super Walmart had this in their clearance section and even though it is a sort of random mess I find good adult/teen stocking stuffer or small gifts there when I browse through on occasion that I stash away (I have also seen things like mini-craft kits, gadgets like the lenses, lots of stuff for local pro sport teams).

For DS17, I got a lanyard for keys from his Favorite soccer team (Man U) and a car decal from the same team. For DS15, I got a pretty inexpensive pair of the VR goggles that are popular. I also put in chapsticks, a new tooth brush, some cologne, body wash and candy.
