Unique Baby Boy Names

Griffin and Cole are both becoming popular in my area.

Both are very popular around here. Last year in my 1st grade class, I had 2 Coles. The year before I had 2 Griffins. No kidding!

My DB name is: "Wade" (kinda unique, but every once in a while you run into one)

DB named his DS: "Raider" (yes, he named him after the football team. :rolleyes2)

Grayson
Walker
Harris
Addison
August

BTW - One of my friends' sisters named her three boys Walker, Ryder, and Hunter :rotfl:

Whoops - I forgot Lloyd, Minor and Quentin

Some unique ones where I live or at least I think they are unique:

Porter
Blade
Reece
Dallin
Anton

our DS (7) is Duncan Anthony

We've only met one other Duncan--he's a few years younger than ours (his older sister went to daycare with our DS - maybe they got the name from us!)

I love the names
Bailey
Everett (family name) 3 generations in my family have used this name in one context...or another
Creed
Mason

Our sons are: Caleb Jeremiah, Alexander Jacob, and Jonas Grafton Dale

When our middle son was born, I didn't know ANY Alex's, and we both liked it, so we *thought* it was unique. Boy were we wrong. So many Alex's everywhere we go. His best friend's name is even Alex.

The other two have more unique names, that they at least don't share with their classmates.

If my daughter had been a boy, his name would have been Denver (as in Denver Broncos) LOL.

My friend named her son lawson. At first I thought it was a strange name, but it has really grown on me.

My boy is Blaise Alexander. DH picked the Blaise part but it took me a while to get used to it...now, of course I love it!

Other boys names I love are:
Carter
Walker
Parker
Atticus (Yes, it is a great literary name!)
and Talbot (my grandmother's maiden name)

There's a women on my 40 moms list that named her little girl Blaise. They were going to use it for a boy or a girl. :thumbsup2

Henry is soon going to be a Jacob. Popular here too.

Atticus
Tennyson
Coleridge

all great literary names!

My two month old is named Atticus! I picked it because I think Atticus Finch is the epitome of what a modern southern gentleman should be and what I hope my little boy will one day become. I wanted something different (my name is Kai - actually a boy's name - and I've never met another in person), but unfortunately Atticus has jumped in popularity in the last two years so I'm afraid in five or so years it might be on of those popular-unusual names. What I've found is that my parent's generation and older think the name is kind of weird (and my grandmother refuses to pronounce it correctly - Atakick!), but my generation all read the book in school so most of them have a fond association with it.

Other names we considered:

Jude (also literary and great for Beatles fans, but not so uncommon)
Levin (another literary one)
Renton
Ferris
Liev

If I have another boy I've already decided on Finnegan.

My DS name is Alexander Layne. Alexander is somewhat common, but I don't think Layne is. He was named after DH. If we had another boy it would be Aidan Cole.
