Uni Newbie w/some questions

Dr Doom definitely shoots you up and brings you down slowly. I didn't tell my husband that and it totally caught him off guard. It was so funny! Great ride and the suspense of waiting for it to shoot you off kills me!

Also - If you stay onsite it is easy to walk back and forth at your leisure. When we were there we did rope drop a couple of times and then left early afternoon and came back later. Or you could sleep in and head out to the parks later on.

Harry Potter is best first thing in the day and late in the evening before closing

Now I'm REALLY confused. When we rode it, it was a "droppy ride" - both times. It rose slowly, stopped, then BOOM, dropped us. There were two towers and only one was being used - is it possible that, like in some other parks, one shoots you up, and one drops you down quickly?

Every time I have rode (10+ times) it is the thrill was take off. It have a similar start to the Hulk, very, very fast slingshot feeling. Once you reach the top hight (less then 2 seconds) you bounce up and down a few times then slowly fall to the ground.

The view is fantastic! Here is a POV YouTube video. I looked but they all had the fast shoot off. The ride you described reminds me of Acrophobia at Six Flags parks.
