Uni Front of the Line Pass?

Friends are going to Universal in early June. They've never been to any theme parks at all before. They already have their park tickets - can they add front of the line passes at the gate? (I don't see an option to add FOTL on Universal's website, only to purchase tickets w FOTL as a feature.)

If they can add FOTL to their existing tickets, how much is it per person?

Yeah, I believe you can add them at the Front-gate/ticket voucher area. Last I checked, it was $59 per person.

I did it online last time we went. But they were offering it at the front gate as well....actually right as you enter the park. Just make sure they understand its front of the line is one time per attraction. So if you use your front of the line pass and want to go again you have to wait in the regular line.
