Unhelpful (and mean) people in VMK

As you all know, I'm very new to VMK and am really enjoying it. The folks on the board are great when it comes to helping!

I've noticed a disturbing set of interactions while on the site, though. Even though a lot of words can't be said, there are quite a few folks (I'm imagining they are teens but who knows) who are just downright mean to each other. I see a lot of people ask for help, and someone will say something mean to them as a reply, things like "Why should I help you?" I guess it's high school behavior at it's worst...right there on VMK!

There's nothing to do about it...I just felt sad seeing so much of it. Why do these kids get enjoyment out of insulting people instead of helping them?

yeah that's with disers usually hang out with disers! personally the only time i go into a trade room is if i've got a hot item that i dont want and need something specifically in return within a specific date or if i'm so horribly bored that i go there just to have the pleasure of closing the billion trade requests that pop up the second I enter!(yeah THAT bored)
