unexpected trip think i can get room

being a dvc member if i just happened to be in fla and had some points if available would dvc give me a room without ressie

Sure- since everything is based on availability, that will always be the limiting factor for short notice reservations.

If MS is closed, you can call the resort directly as they have limited access to DVC account information and can make the reservation for you using points.

I've done this a number of times in the past....landed at the airport and called the front desk of Old Key West on the way. Even if they didn't have room, they were always helpful and found me a place at one of the other resorts. And you thought you did things at the last minute!!
