Unexpected June trip budget questions

We have been toying with the idea of taking our kids to WDW just before a planned move and new job. Obviously this will have to be on a budget. I need your input...could we do a 3-4 day WDW vacation for $1500.00 or less? I really would love your creative ideas, we all love WDW and can't wait to go back. Oh, by the way, there are 4 of us (2 adults 2 teens) we don't "have" to stay on property and we don't mind lugging water bottles and granola bars.Thanks.

Planning on Driving? -then YES!
Planning on Flying? -iffy (IMHO)

I agree with last poster about driving vs. flying...

Unless you find the most wonderful airfare, $1500 for airfare, hotel, park tickets and food would probably not happen... Not saying that you couldnt do it, but airfare is pretty expensive..

I think you could do it. It would be tight but dpending on how many kids you have and the type of passes you buy it could be done.

You could also try priceline for a 3 star. Which I would think you could get at a good price. I just read that someone got the Courtyard at Mariott Village for $20 plus bonus money. You might also consider adding a day or two of just pool time and relaxing to make your trip seem longer.

Eat Breakfast in your room and eat fast food at the parks. If staying offsite you can have a cheap pizza after you return to your room in the evening.

3 days X 4 people = 12 people days
$1500.00 / 12 = $125 per person / per day

$50 - park ticket
$40 - 2 sit down meals & snacks
$35 - per person towards hotel ($140 per night)

this includes no money for travel expenses..

If you are not driving and you stay away from shopping you should be able to be close.
