Unexpected conference trip to Orlando

The title says it - I'm heading to Orlando the last week of Feb. I have a PAP and thought I'd go over to WDW a couple of evenings in my downtime. I went on line to make a few Fastpasses and was unable to. We have current Fastpasses for Spring Break in March. Would that prohibit me from making more?

If you don't stay onsite, there's a limit of 7 i think. But I'm not sure how that works if you have some resort stay.... it could be the greater of 7 or total nights on site.

Thanks - I am staying offsite at the Hyatt near DTD. Perhaps that's my problem...
