Underwater cameras at Shark Reef

Can anyone tell me if you can take an underwater camera to Shark Reef at Typhoon Lagoon?

I bought cheap ones at Walmart and it was raining the day we went and the pictures were still decent. ON a bright day they probably would have been great. On a cloudy day it might be nice to have the kind with some sort of flash or light (not usually cheap).

On a side note...

are the stingrays de-barbed so to speak? I have a relative who won't swim in the reef unless they are

no, they aren't de-barbed - its very cruel. Stingrays will only attack if they're threatened. To date only 3 people have been killed by a stingray attack. The stingrays in shark reef are fairly small. If this is a Steve Irwin-related phobia do not worry, he was off shore, in the wild with huge rays they aren't the kind that are at shark reef, in fact shark reef is a lot deeper than it looks they won't come too close to you.

In response to the rays at Disney. Steve was killed by a massively huge ray and only because it got him in the heart. On an average stingray the "thorn" is about one inch long and the one that killed steve was 8 inches long. In addition, not all rays can "sting." In fact, the ones at the shark reef cannot. They are manta rays also called devilrays. They are totally harmless. The sharks are nurse sharks also harmless. COme on it is Disney-they would never knowingly put people in the way of danger. ALso the rays are very small. Almost a disappointment actually instead of a fear. Also they only let you swim on the top. All the sharks and rays stay at the bottom. You are like 20 feet above them.

Oh back on topic-the wal-mart cheap cameras-were they disposable?
