We are staying for he first time at the YC when we will actually be able to use storm along bay!!:banana: (Last time was too cold!) I want to be able to take underwater photos of my son who is absolutely going to LOVE the sandy bottom pool. I usually just use my iphone for photos in the park, I don't like to carry around a lot of stuff. Can anyone recommend an underwater camera (under $200) that is also a good camera that takes regular photos OR should I buy one of those cases that you can take your iphone underwater:scared1:(Yikes) This option scares me. I don't know if I trust them...

We have a Pentax WG-1.
Underwaterproof to 33ft.
Shockproof for a 4.9ft drop.
dust proof.

14MB

Really like it.

Sorry don't know the cost, got it as a gift.

I use a Kodak Playsport. I've used it at the Poly pool and at Typhoon Lagoon with great results.

I have a Canon D10. I love it so much that I sometimes use it for above the water shots instead of lugging my good camera around too :)

Fuji makes a great underwater camera for under $200. Both of my kids have it and it takes really nice pictures. I highly reccomend it. Bought them at Best Buy.

Canon D10 is probably the best camera that can go underwater in terms of what you'll get in a normal price range. D10 produces good quality images even in the day-to-day shot so you can use it not only for underwater pictures. :) It is, however, not the smallest underwater camera though, and I must say that I don't like the thickness of my D10. But if you want good image quality, D10 is probably the way to go.
