In following another cruising message board, I saw a post about a camera that was found, likely coming from a Disney Fantasy cruise passenger.
Short story is the camera was found in the water near Islamorada, FL by a diver. Camera and card are in good shape. Based on the story, it appears the pictures indicate a Western Caribbean itinerary out of Port Canaveral on the Fantasy.
Dates have been elusive, but after much sleuthing, it sounds like they have it narrowed to either Sept/Oct of 2017 or January of 2015 (dates on pictures suggest 01/15, but camera dates appear to reset when battery dies).
So, if you lost a Vivitar underwater camera after or during a cruise on the Disney Fantasy sometime between 01/15 and 10/17 the magic of the internet might be able to get it back to you. The original message board is here;
